Submitting an Article to the EEO Insight

EEO Insight is currently seeking authors to submit manuscripts for publication in our highly-respected peer-reviewed journal.  Read by executives, governmental leaders, and human resources professionals across the United States, EEO Insight is unique within the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) field. Narrowly tailored to matters covered by Title VII of the 1964/1991 Civil Rights Act, Executive Order 11246, and the Code of Federal Regulations (Chapters 60: 1-4, 20, 30, 40, 50, 250, and 741), EEO Insight helps federal contractors and other employers better understand the issues and requirements of implementing equal employment opportunity while maintaining a highly competitive and productive workforce.

EEO Insight does not compensate authors for submitting manuscripts; however, if accepted for publication, an honorarium of $200 will be paid to the lead author of the elected article upon publication.

Article Submission Guidelines:

Manuscripts are accepted or rejected by members of the EEO Insight Editorial Board based on the quality of authorship, the timeliness of the topic and the needs of our current editorial calendar.  While no specific format for articles is required, they must be factual and/or research-based and not opinion pieces.  They may be scientific and/or technical in nature or they may be practical/applied and provide EEO professionals with tools and techniques that may be applied directly on the job.

All manuscripts must be the author’s original work.  Sources and quotations must be duly cited in a reference section.

The author maintains the copyright of their material but grants BCG Institute for Workforce Development the right to publish and distribute the submitted work.

EEO Insight receives all manuscript submissions electronically in Microsoft Word or RTF format.  Submit articles via email to editor@eeoinsight.com

  • Articles should be 5-12 pages double spaced (not including tables, graphs and references)
  • Articles should be submitted in APA style to the best of the author’s ability
  • Include endnotes wherever necessary and list all citations in a Reference Section as the last page(s)
  • Submit articles electronically as both Microsoft Word and PDF documents to editor@eeoinsight.com

Basic Review Guidelines:

These are some basic questions that the editorial board and review panel will use as guidelines in each phase of the review process, from an article's initial acceptance through to final publication.
  • Is the article informative?
  • Does the article fit the scope of EEO Insight?
  • Is it an industry specific topic?
  • Is the article objective or a marketing piece for the author?
  • Is the article factually accurate?
  • The field of EEO and Affirmative Action is oftentimes marked by many divergent viewpoints on sensitive issues. We welcome credible articles on either side of such issues; however, we reserve the right to include editorial comments and/or solicit alternative viewpoints from authors when we believe doing so will provide a balanced perspective to the readers.
