Jim, Please provide the necessary data for doing an excel T-test formula in excel. I thought I was doing it right but continue to get an error message "N/A" as the answer.

Also, I was under the impression that this was a 2 hour webinar and your email from last night stated it was as well. Why did we cut off after an hour?

Thanks.

I typically schedule webinars for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It is difficult to know exactly how long it will take for any given webinar until I have given it once. Originally, I had planned to cover multiple methods of computing pay adjustments. However, as I noted at the beginning of the webinar, as I created the presentation it became increasingly clear that it was far too complicated if I wanted to be sure people understood what I was talking about.

This is evidenced by the fact that, even though I only covered using t-tests, you are getting some errors when you do it yourself. Therefore, I decided that I was going to break this one webinar into three separate webinars. The first one (today's) covered using t-tests for small sample sizes. The next one will focus on using multiple regression and the standard error of estimate to adjust pay based on predicted salaries. The final webinar will examine a more effective way (we believe) of using multiple regression.

When we go beyond simply overviewing things to showing how to actually do technical things, I am committed to going no faster than I can while making sure people can understand and apply what I say.

I hope this answers your question! I have found that it is better to run a little short rather than running up against limited time and so failing to cover things.

Jim
