Biography of Jim Higgins, Ph.D.

Dr. Higgins has served as a human resource practitioner, organizational researcher, and statistics professor for over 16 years. His areas of expertise include the application of advanced statistical procedures to the evaluation of hiring, promotional and compensation disparities, developing and validating personnel assessment and selection instruments and the teaching of complex statistical techniques to professional practitioners. Dr. Higgins was recognized with the 2003 award as Distinguished Alumni from California State University Sacramento and is a past President of the Personnel Testing Council of Northern California. He holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology, a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is a member of both the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. His love of teaching led him to establish US Research Associates as a free online learning community where people can learn about statistics, personnel selection, and equal employment opportunity. Adopted by Biddle Consulting Group, inc, this online learning community now extends nationwide with members representing both public and private companies including many of America's most respected organizations as the Biddle Consulting Group Institute for Workforce Development (BCGi).
